Brazil is the world's ninth largest economy. After a period of strong growth, the Brazilian economy started exhibiting signs of a slowdown in 2011 and has been in recession since 2015. Brazil is experiencing an unprecedented economic crisis due to the drop in domestic consumption and a decline in investment.
